The Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) has published the advisory report ‘Ethical and legal aspects in information science.’ Jeroen van den Hoven was one of the members of the committee that wrote the report, advising on the installation of ethical review boards for informatics research.

An increasing use of information technologies challenges us to rethink whether our privacy is potentially at risk and what we should do to create sufficient protection.
